Certified Translation
As accredited Member of the ITI, the UK-based, independent professional body, I can provide certified translations of official documents from English to Italian and Italian into English. Certified translation is mostly needed for legal documents, including, but not limited to:
Personal information: Adoption agreements, birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, driving licence, immigration paper, academic qualifications and certificates, wills and testaments.
Legal and business: Business contracts, certificates of incorporation, court transcript, police records, official documents to be submitted to Italian Consulate, official documents to be submitted to the Home Office and others.
Other documentation: Corporate registration documents, medical reports, statements, contracts, other reports, transcripts, litigation documents and more.
Depending on the purpose of the official document and institution or country of destination, you might also need to have your translated document notarised by a notary public or a solicitor or legalised (Apostille) by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

Important information to know when you hire a certified translator
What My Clients Say
How it Works

Faq’s
Why is it important to have my digital content localized?
The localization process involves the adaptation of the translated text to the local standards and cultural nuances of the target audience (your clients). Most people prefer to buy products in their native language and in the local currency. When you translate and localize your digital content and catalogues, you increase your customers’ trust in your brand and hence sales.
How is the quote for my translation request calculated?
Once you send your documents through the quote form or to my email address, I will examine the files and the content of the files. The quote is a combination of services needed and the amount of words included in the documents. I will send you a spreadsheet showing the breakdown of new words, along with repetitions, fuzzy matches and complete matches, which are subject to a discounted price.
Is it important to have my documents proofread?
Yes, it is. After translating your text, it is important to take some “time off” from it and read it thoroughly several times before the delivery. Alternatively, it advisable to assign the proofreading to a second industry-expert linguist that will have an independent and fresh approach to the translation.
What is the difference between editing and proofreading?
After translating, the editing process check the accuracy, terminology, grammar and style against the source. Proofreading aims at checking the spelling, typos, punctuation, layout, localized data, etc. before printing and distributing your translated texts. The quality of your translation is also ensured by automated quality assurance features integrated in the CAT-Tool.
Does Machine Translation cause a breach of confidentiality?
I provide my clients with a secure Machine Translation system. This means that your texts and data won’t be reused to train the engine, as it usually happens.
